Ohme Epod refusing to smart charge

Has the cutoff happened early?  Ever since yesterday my Ohme EPod refuses to smart charge. All I get it “unable to connect, offline”. It isn’t, green icon showing and when I kill the power at the trip the app knows instantly. So it’s obvious that it’s online.  All I can get is Max Charge now.   Rebooted it countless times.  Anytime still shows in Tariff.  Any ideas??  Thanks.

Smart meter not communicating with storage heater & immersion heater circuit

Location ShetlandSmart meter (SKU2 celluar + mesh) fitted last Friday, 06/06/25.  Got electricity BUT it's not communicating with storage heater & immersion heater circuit 🤔Was told by OVO everything is working 'fine' and to get an electrician (at my cost) to check things over.Electrician has established all is working as it should, so back to OVO. Now they are arranging an 'emergency' appointment for an engineer, who will have to come from the mainland. This will only be arranged on Monday now, due to my remote location.Have to use the water heater boost to get hot water and I have no heating. Just as well it's not the middle of winter.I believe my issue could be due to a misconfiguration. From looking at info on the OVO forum, there may be a command that can reset the meter and yhos could be done remotely?!Anyone else had similar issues and have any tips/advice I can relay, so I can get this resolved. I can't afford to take off loads of time from work to be around for their engi

OVO Charge Anytime with Indra EV. problems getting started, please help.

I’ve got started with Charge Anytime, Indra Smart Pro Gen 2 and Corsa Electric. When first plugged in, charging started. I was able to charge one more time. Now I can’t get it to start. the interaction between The Vauxhall app, the Indra app, and OVO is very unclear. when I try and set a charging schedule in Indra, I get ‘Failed to create schedule…’When I  just plug the car in, I have white flashing lights on the charger. I did also have green flashing lights. As far as I am aware I have not set any other schedule or limits.  What I want to do is charge today, I can wait till OVO wants to start if necessary, but right now the process just seems to be stalled. I’ve disconnected and reconnected.  All and any advice gratefully accepted thanks Jeffrey

Hypervolt solar charge overidden by Boost

Up until the recent update of the Charge Anytime (CA) app (Jun 25 v 2.1.16) I've always been able to day charge my ev using solar energy from my panels and CA displays solar charging. Now it seems that CA won't recognise solar charging only and insists on adding/topping up with Boost function from the grid, delivered at the full day rate. The only thing that has changed is the app update for CA - any suggestions?

charge anytime app not working. app doesn’t know the charger is plugged in.

My Tesla, home charger and charge anytime app has worked well for many months. Today having set up a charge anytime, the app continues to say the charger is not connected to the Tesla. The Tesla is charging but not as a result of the app.I rebooted the charge anytime app, problem persists. It doesn’t seem to make a difference whatever I try.

Does a smart meter cut power whilst it does an update ?

Smart meter might be doing an update, the IHD has changed from, showing some stuff, to saying waiting, is that due to an update of some type being in process ? Power also went off for a few seconds at the same time as this new message appeared, coincidence, or expected behaviour ?Smart meter was recently installed, so assume it might be doing some kind of update after a few weeks.

Just setup account today as moved into flat that is supplied by Ovo on 2/6. Logged into account for first time and it says goodbye we are closing your account as you are moving on 3/6.

Just setup account today as moved into flat that is supplied by Ovo on 2/6.  Logged into account for first time today and it says goodbye we are closing your account as you are moving on 3/6! I mean what on earth, it is a new account, it is a new account number different to the one on the letter for the previous tenant that was showed on the The Occupier letter when i first moved in.  As part of setting up the account it gave me a quote of £64 per month for a fixed 1 year and it says it is taking the direct debit on 21st which is what i was expecting so dont understand the message at the top of the dashboard saying we closing your account and i will get a final bill.   Really not impressed if this is going to be a saga from day one.  Guess i will have to contact customer service on Monday.

From 15 July 2025, Ohme chargers will no longer connect directly to Charge Anytime. Charge anytime points

Does anyone have any info on Charge Anytime points that launches on Monday? When I joined up I remember something about getting points for keeping you car plugged in for longer. Is this correct and what are the “Points” used for. ThanksBruce

We recently had a smart meter fitted as our bills were showing we using a gas at the level of a medium size business.  They have informed us that our meter had a fault and billing our now dealing with the over payments.  But we have also been told that our debt to the Company has been reported to the credit reference agent and we are on a list relating to struggling to pay.  We are paying what we use monthly which is £100 a month but there systems are still stating we should be paying £600 a month! They don’t communicate with us, we phone we get told something different every time and is now been 13 weeks since they started their investigation.  The last we were told they were resetting our balance to 0 as we owe nothing.  But we feel like we are being treated like criminals and this balance reset is at present taken 3 weeks and still the same. Complaints are hopeless as well, the complaint we made was just closed and we were never told.  What can we do as it’s unfair that a credit is

Direct debit increase

Has anyone else had a sensible reply from OVO explaining why they now calculate the direct debit so that we are a month in credit on 31.03.2026 i.e. just before the period where the direct debit will exceed the usage anyway .I thought they were supposed to ask customers to increase, not demand and then threaten to remove me from the fixed tariff if I cancel my DD and pay the same amount as a lump each month.BTW I am around £75 in credit as of today, which is about a month and a quarter DD.

OVO Charge Anytime

I have now completed, as per the email, to move from the Ohme set up to OVO charge anytime.I have two compatible EV’s, both Audi.I have linked both up to the app okay.I have charged both cars this weekend, but only one is showing on the savings tab and only one has updated.I reconnected the EV that the savings weren’t showing by removing the EV then adding it. I then got a different account number?I am sure that EV will be showing in the savings tab when I charge that one but the other one won’tHow can I be sure both EVs are charging at the 7p??

CHANGE OF APPS FROM OHME TO OVO - CANNOT CHARGE CAR NOW!

I have an OHME charger for my EV. OVO emailed me and told me that they were stopping use of the OHME app and I needed to install the OVO charge anytime app. I followed their instructions to the letter.3 days running I have tried to charge my car and the OVO app tells me it will be ready by 0700 - scheduled to ensure I get the 7p/kwh. 3 days running my EV has not charged.I have emailed OVO several times but they have not bothered to contact me (quite how they are number 1 for customer service I do not know) even though I have to,d them that I am disabled and they will incarcerate me in my own home as I rely on my car to get out and about.can any one help please? Has anyone else had problems switching apps?

Went onto a fixed rate in February, my account is over £230 in credit and got email today to say they are putting my payment up £24 a month! Why?All the time I was on the variable rate I have always been at least £200-£300 in credit and never increased, now I’m not paying enough.  Not good enough. Been with OVO for years, when fixed rate up will be leaving.

How do OVO calculate my EV Usage

How do OVO know what my EV Charge is? I have a plug in to the domestic supply not a dedicated charger.

I made a complaint via the ombudsman last year which OVO stated they were at fault. Since then nothing has happened and my account is still not fixed. I have phoned a few times and used the chat. Keep getting promised a call and nothing ever happens.

off-peak switches on/off 10 minutes after tariff changes

Our Aclara SGM1416-B was fitted on Friday 6th June 2025. Nick F was excellent, and answered all our many questions. In this remote Argyll location we have no radio control signal, but we do have O2 4G and the WNC UBC-TN6 SKU1 connects to it.  So all the worries that I've picked up from reading this forum evaporated.One puzzle is that off-peak switches on/off 10 minutes after the tariff changes. I know that the switching time needs to vary a bit in an area to prevent massive changes destroying transmission gear, but I thought that the signal change would coincide with the tarrif change.The IHD (IHD3-PPMID-AAA  type 1) shows the tariff changing at exactly the times listed for Economy 10, eg 2:30pm and 5:30pm, but the storage heating switches 10 minutes later. So we are charged too much for 10 minutes. I know this may not add more than about £50 a year, but it’s a niggle.   Is it likely to synchronise as the system settles down?

Aclara meter beeping HELP!

I have an Aclara SGC 1311 and it has been beeping since credit ran out - credit was added within 5 minutes of running out but it has continued to beep the entire day. OVO say this is not an emergency and an engineer can only attend next week😩it is driving everyone crazy. Anyone know how to reset it? It only has an A and B button and I have tried pressing and holding them a million times😩any help much appreciated!!

Four flats with storage heaters facing RTS shutdown....

We’ve had three meter change appointments, for two flats, with four needing upgrading in Oxford. All have a second night heating circuit switched from RTS. I’d love some help !. One OVO meter was changed successfully in a basement flat, (thanks OVO). For one flat above this, which should therefore have better radio reception, two installers have come, said a smart meter wont work, and haven’t brought an option. Appointments are taking a month at a time.So my first question is: if they install the ‘Legacy Meter’ offered, can it definately switch the second circuit night rate power on/off overnight with no radio ?. Cant find this info on the forum anywhere.Meanwhile, the fourth flat uses Octopus, who have just not replied to 2 requests, and I’m not able to phone them as a landlord. While the third flat (basement) has 2 phases, so perhaps needs a different team of installers, equipped correctly ?…..any input very welcome, thanks !
